Question 27: Which propeller must be installed and is there a tolerance to the ‘closure’ of the propeller?

Answer

Class rule E.4.1(a) requires:

“The engine, drive leg and Gori propeller shall be the standard Yanmar engine (raw water-cooled model) coupled to a saildrive; or equivalent equipment supplied by the LBM.”

Accordingly the propeller must be the ‘standard’ gori propeller that is supplied when the boat is new or a replacement for a new propeller that is the same gori propeller as supplied to new boats.

The builder has confirmed that the propeller is: Gori 15X2 LH - 2 Blade Propellor SD.

The class rules are silent in regard to modification to the propeller and therefore modification is not permitted and there is no tolerance on folding or closure of the propeller blades so this must be as per the condition supplied by Gori.
