Incident

Coming into top mark on port tack overlapped to windward of Jiraffe at the 3 length zone.

Safest option for Jiraffe is to dip the starboard tackers which we were trying to do from an overlapped to windward position.

Without hailing room to tack, Jiraffe chooses to tack infront of the starboard tacker in the process fouling them.

We had to crash tack to avoid the situation as could not bear away since jiraffe tacked and left no room to avoid, we end up stuck on the top mark.

Jiraffe did not give us an option to avoid the top mark by not hailing for room tack.
